I really can’t shake this thought. I was wondering, what is the biggest threat to our political system right now? Corruption? Media bias? Specific people in office? Conspiracy theories that dilute the truth? I think I found out, and it’s actually a WAY bigger problem than I thought.
Here’s 1 Big Idea I’m chewing on, 2 Big Questions for you, and 3 Stories I’m reading & watching.
1 Big Idea I’m chewing on: The Extremes Are Winning—And They Want You to Lose
The future I see, is where the best ideas win. The best policies, the strongest leaders, and practical solutions rise to the top.
But that’s not really the world we live in.
Today, outrage is the currency of politics. The more extreme, the more viral, the better. You’re more radical? Perfect, we’ll give you more airtime. Politicians discovered that the best way to get attention isn’t to solve problems, it’s to make people angry.
Look around, on one side Kamala Harris was literally screaming that democracy is collapsing, while on the other side President Trump was saying that America would be doomed without him. Somewhere along the line, people stopped trying to persuade with the best ideas, and instead they took extremes to a whole new level. This was such a core reason why I liked RFK Jr. so much, because he was for common sense solutions that helped people, while not playing into the extremes that lead to division.
And do you want to know the real tragedy with all of this? It’s the outcome, because the politicians screaming and emphasizing the extremes, they are NOT the ones who face the consequences, it’s all of us. We feel the tension and division in the grid, everyday.
The Silent Majority Isn’t Silent, They’re Just Ignored
The crazy part that really blows my mind is that most people aren’t extreme. They’re not even close.
Time and again, poll after poll shows that the vast majority of Americans don’t sit at the edge of the extremes. Humans are so simple, we just want to live a better life. But our current system makes fools of that.
But, normal people aren’t running the show right now.
The extremes on all sides are dominating every conversation because they’re the ones who show up. They show up to the conversation, they’re the loudest on social media, they pressure politicians to go further, press harder, and take more extreme stances, while all the people who want common sense solutions are simply too busy living their lives to get involved.
Which is exactly how we got to a system where the loudest voices create the future for the rest of us to experience—but it doesn’t have to be that way.
It’s Not Left vs. Right—It’s Sane vs. Insane
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I don’t care if you lean left, right, somewhere in between, but this system just isn’t working.
We don’t need extremists, we need people who care deeply about solving real problems. People with vision, resilience, and the work ethic needed to work hard and get things done. Because let’s be real, the battle isn’t between Democrats and Republicans, it’s between those who are on the extreme edge, and the rest of us.
That’s why I love what I get to do. That’s why the videos exist, why this newsletter exists, it’s to bring honest conversations to the table and build something that actually matters. But I can’t do it alone.
So the real question is, are we going to let the extremes dominate every conversation, or are we going to finally step up in this moment and create the future built on truth, hope, and common sense?

Yes! The extremists are the squeaky wheels while most Americans are just trying to do what they need to do to get through the day to day trials of life--working, mowing lawns, packing lunches, taking their kids to music lessons or soccer games. They do not have the luxury of time, nor the inclination, to be organizing protests, rallies or parades on issues they can't even relate to, but are bombarded with messages that they darn well better care about them and comply or be labeled alt right or wacko left, this kind of phobe or that kind of phobe, racists or mysogynists et al. On the whole, we are a caring and compassionate people. Political extremists feed on this, take advantage of it and twist their narratives to entrap and manipulate with guilt and FEAR. The "middle" in "middle America" is not necessarily a financial class of people, it is a mindset. Our values are mostly simple and straightforward, but we've been pulled into whirlwind after whirlwind after whirlwind, tossed and volleyed about, and then spit out exhausted until the next one bangs at the door. We need a voice of reason to ground us again. Some of us have found that here in you, Adam, and this is a place of common sense to which we CAN relate. So keep up the good work. And to those of you who are not paid subscribers, is this young man not a valuable platform and mindset you want to have continue and grow?
