The Future of This Newsletter, RFK Jr., and the Meta Bathroom Debate
A new format, big questions, and the stories that actually matter—let’s dive in.
Today, I want to us to step into THE NEW! I recently felt like I was at an inflection point with this newsletter, but I’ve really been chewing on this idea that I believe can define the next season for this project. Here’s what I’ve landed on:
For this new season, I want to write shorter, more meaningful, and more community driven emails—newsletters that get to the heart of the conversation without wasting your time or mine. The reality is, writing 2,000+ word deep dives every week pulls time away from the videos that I create everyday, and I really believe my time is best spent where I can bring the most value.
So, I want to introduce to you the new operating system for the newsletter for this new season…
1, 2, 3: Ideas, Questions, and Stories.
1 Big Idea I’m chewing on
2 Big Questions for you
And 3 Stories I’m reading & watching
More clarity, more impact, and my favorite part? More space for us to dig deep into the ideas together. This isn’t just about the news, it’s about the conversations and the ideas that shape our future. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s dive in. 🫡
1 Big Idea I’m chewing on:
The Democratic Party is at a big inflection point. With the election of a new chair and vice chair, party insiders are convinced their problem is messaging and fundraising. But let’s be real—Democrats didn't lose because their messaging wasn’t aggressive enough. They dominated the media, flooded social platforms, and controlled the conversation where they had influence. So what went wrong? Ideas.
It’s not just about doing things right; it’s about doing the right things, right. If the ideas at the core of a party’s platform don’t resonate, no amount of messaging can fix that. Republicans didn’t win because they ran more ads or fine-tuned their talking points. They won because people were dissatisfied with the Democratic Party’s ideas and how they played out in real life.
Who is the future of the Democratic Party? If they don’t answer that question—and soon—they’ll be stuck in a cycle of reaction, not leadership. Leadership in a moment like this isn’t just important—it’s everything. Without a force driving change, paralysis is inevitable. Good leaders dictate direction. Great leaders create new futures with new ideas. And let me say one more thing: Some ideas just need refining. Others need to be abandoned entirely to make way for a new future. It’s time for the new.
2 Questions for you:
Do you think the Democratic Party’s biggest issue is messaging, fundraising, or something deeper? If you were in charge, what would you focus on first?
Who do you see as the future of the Democratic Party? Is there a rising leader who can actually unite the party and challenge the GOP in 2028?
(Give me your take on these questions in the comment section! 👇🏼)
And 3 stories I’m reading & watching:
Saagar Enjeti on Breaking Points advocates for RFK Jr. while his co-host argues Kennedy will be, “Deadly for this nation.”
Anna Matson makes a good argument for Elon Musk that X “hates” original creators.
Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta removes tampons from men’s restrooms, and employees aren’t happy.

If memory serves, I remember after President Trump won the election in 2016, the Democratic Party admitted they had an identity crisis. Spokespeople said they needed to figure out what they stand for. And here they are at that crossroads again. I'm a former Democrat, from RFK Jr's Classic Democrat era, and I know what I believed the party stood for. Far be it for me to give the Dems any ideas about how to save their party. They've lost their way. I will never be a Democrat again after what they've done to RFK Jr and Tulsi Gabbard.
I had just listened to Trump talk about all the changes he was going to make in lowering the cost of groceries that the Biden administration inflicted on the American people. I was just at the grocery store and to pick up some eggs. I was shocked. The cost of eggs has already gone from 3.97/5.97 a dozen to 7.97/9.97 a dozen. I was shocked. A very elderly lady next to me said," I really need eggs but I can't pay that". I needed them too, so I picked up two boxes. As we walked to check out, She said, "Trump promised he would lower all grocery costs. If I can't afford the eggs, what else can't I afford." I picked up two dozen eggs, and we followed each other to the checkout. I checked out first. She was behind me. I gave her a dozen eggs. She thanked me profusely and tearfully said, "Trump promised to lower grocery costs, how can I afford the cost of everything to be higher with Trump?" She said tearfully.... "He is a liar, and I believed him." That's one item. How much has everything gone up? That is yet to be discovered." :-(
