WE DIDN'T COME THIS FAR, JUST TO COME THIS FAR!
Celebrating the moments that create the future.
Hey everyone! It is such a beautiful Saturday and I just wanted to share something that’s been on my heart all week. This might be simple but it’s not simplistic, so without wasting anymore time, let’s dive in! 🫡
Here’s 1 Big Idea I’m chewing on, 2 Big Questions for you, and 3 Stories I’m reading & watching.
1 Big Idea I’m chewing on:
All week I’ve been thinking about how critical it is to celebrate small wins—and not just for the moment, but for our future. Every day, I step into new stories to share with people, hoping to bring new perspectives, but more importantly, to make people’s lives better. In a space that is filled with endless negativity to scroll through, I wanted to build something different. Something with more energy and excitement for the future, and less regret and shame for the past. CNN wants to tell you everything’s falling apart, but I’m here to say: we are just getting started.
Speaking on just getting started, my wife and I just hit four months of marriage! And yes, we celebrated it! I know some people might think it’s odd, but why wouldn’t we celebrate something so beautiful? We need to celebrate the moments that create the future. People love slowing down for the car crashes, but not enough people are slowing down to appreciate their car for taking them where they need to go. If we don’t pause to celebrate the small wins, where’s the fuel to keep going? To dream bigger? To build something extraordinary? To build something majestic?
I’m absolutely convinced that when we go through the deep intention of identifying and celebrating the small wins, our energy and motivation actually multiplies and expands into something unstoppable. Anyone who watches the show knows that we love to talk about the future, changing the world, and doing things that don’t make sense on paper. But I don’t think we get there without energy, energy to build the future we imagine.
The future doesn’t exist without the energy to build it.
And if you’ve ever watched an episode, dropped a comment, or even silently watched from the sidelines, you’re part of this. You’re part of this experiment, this community, this tribe. You’re walking through life with me as I grow, shift, change, and think out loud in real time. And I couldn’t be more grateful. I’m building something here—and I’m really glad you’re here with me. My hope is to make people’s lives just a tiny bit better, and we’re just getting started. We didn’t come this far, just to come this far. 🎧
2 Questions for you:
What small win have you been too busy (or too humble) to celebrate? I want to know! Take a moment to celebrate something you maybe wouldn’t normally.
What helps you stay energized in a world that can feel so draining?
(Give me your take on these questions in the comment section! 👇🏼)
And 3 stories I’m reading & watching:
This Moment from Our Honeymoon, four months ago, I recorded a video from DC while on our honeymoon. It’s wild how far we’ve come since then.
The Power of Small Wins on the Harvard Business Review is an interesting read that continues this conversation!
Cleo Abram’s “Why The Olympics Almost Banned This Shoe” is a remarkable video discussing the technology that pushes athletes forward, as well as the big downside.

What keeps me energized are conversations just like this one that help me appreciate and understand the world today. Recently, in a discussion with friends we marveled at the safe return of the astronauts, and the dolphins who playfully surrounded them. Thank you, Elon Musk!
It's been difficult for me to get motivated or see anything to celebrate; I've struggled with depression and financial difficulties. But I do take some inspiration from Elon Musk's achievements, the recent videos, and your enthusiastic videos.
