I think you nailed the reasons people young and old are turning their backs on the democratic party, Adam. I felt abandoned as an 83 year old by the onslaught of naccurate news, censorship called "misinformation" re vibrant new ideas. I see recession all around me, businesses shuttered, prices way up. I love how this administration is taking the bull by the horns re our failing economy, our irresponsible national debt, our health, our topheavy federal government, our neglect of genuine self care. The way you step up to the plate re every issue, removing blinders, is a godsend to us, Adam. And the major challenges young people face, are all around us.
Thanks, adam. Really appreciate your views. I certainly sympathize with you younger folks. At 78, I'm hoping I can hang on another 10 years or so in good health, with the help of RFK Jr! And I'm hoping I don't have to reincarnate in a world where Trump derangement syndrome remains one of our most dreaded chronic diseases!
If one of the legacy media (CBS ABC etc) reported the truth, they may just survive.
We are all busy, and it would be great if there was a general news source that provided actual news. It’s time consuming to sift through X for daily news, but that’s all we have right now.
I think the rise of independent media is excellent for politics, and young people are hitting a home run with it. I voted mostly for Democrats for 20 years. Now I don't see myself voting for that rotten-to-the-core party for a long time. There are three main reasons: 1) They're not anti-war by any stretch of the imagination, 2) they confuse pro-establishment propaganda for science, and 3) their claim to be pro-choice is hypocritical (Exhibit A: vaccine mandates).
Hey Adam, I remember when you pushed people to support RFK Jr. and Trump's team, claiming they were standing up to the elites and the party of the people. RFK Jr. used to say the Democratic Party had become the party of Wall Street, State Street, and the political elite. But where is that energy now? RFK is completely silent while Trump’s inner circle gets caught up in insider trading. Not a word while Trump expands his executive power—undermining Congress, attacking judges, elected institutions, due-process, rule of law, and pushing past constitutional limits. Weren’t those the exact dangers RFK warned us about when he pointed the finger at the Democrats? Trump is manipulating free-trade and destabilizing us. And now his partnership with un-elected Musk is openly using his platforms to sway more elections, and using his corporate power to sway the direction of an Administration, and again—nothing but silence from RFK. This isn’t anti-establishment anymore; I used to respect RFK for being principled. Now it just looks like he flipped and so did you and your followers. Where’s the accountability? What happened to RFK Jr.'s principles? When will he speak up about Trump's instability and power grabs?
I see where you’re coming from, and I’ll try to respond the best way I can. I made a video recently where Chris Cuomo asked RFK Jr. what he thought about the political drama regarding the controversial Signal chat, and instead of feeding into that drama by sharing his own thoughts, he chose to pivot the conversation back to HHS and share how that’s consuming all of his attention. To you that might look irresponsible and lack his principles have folded, to me it looks like he simply cares more about doing what he can to Make America Healthier Again rather than dive into other conversations that could steal energy from that core focus. He was confirmed by the senate to lead the HHS with the support and along the direction of President Trump. Your opinion could very well be that he isn’t doing enough. I personally don’t agree, because who is doing “enough”? He’s cut waste at HHS, launched countless projects with high urgency throughout different agencies, met with leaders all throughout the country including some of the most underrepresented and forgotten communities, shared progress on scientific research being had right now to answer some of the biggest questions in medicine, and honestly way more to write in a reply. All this to say, we can have different opinions for how we see the world. Part of the reason I chose to call the show “The Adam C. Moreno Show” was because I wanted it to be clear that everything I share is riddled with how I experience reality, flaws included. I value your opinion here, and you’re definitely not the only one who wishes more was being done throughout other aspects of the Trump Administration. Thank you Gabe!!
Excellent newsletter and commentary, Adam. After many years (okay, let's admit it--decades) of completely tuning out the news and the media, when I pulled my head out of the sand and discovered podcasts it was a revelation. By then they were already firmly established and I am a latecomer, but at least I hadn't spent those interim years indoctrinated by the mainstream like so many of my generation had been (and still is.) Most Boomers seem to be forever lost to reason and reality, and quite honestly, too many of us are still around. That fact seriously frightened me as the election drew near. We have had too much power for too long, and I feared that it would be my generation might put the final nail in your generation's coffin on November 5th. Hopefully, this country and your futures have been pulled from the quicksand. But we are still walking a tenuous rope here, and are a long way from solid ground. I hope that you, your voice, and your insight can reach more people of the generations that preceded you and put you in this mess. I, for one, apologize for whatever part I played in that. We had no idea back then, but there is no excuse now for us not to wake up and stop adding to the damage.

So true! Thank you Richard! Always love seeing you here!! 🙌🏼

You’re right. No one has time for that! 😂 There is still a function that can be served through the current legacy media ecosystem!!
